12 Small Details You Only Notice Rewatching Parks & Recreation

8. Star Lord's Cameo

Parks and Rec
NBC

While pretty much every cast member blew up during Parks and Rec's run, nobody enjoyed as much success as Chris Pratt. Though he was adored by fans for playing the show's lovable buffoon, he became a household name after starring in the original Guardians of the Galaxy, a movie he shot at the same time as NBC's show.

Consequently, by the time Season 7 came around, he was one of the biggest names in Hollywood, and the writers managed to slip in a few references to his newfound fame. The most explicit one came during a flash-forward in the series finale, where a bunch of trick-or-treaters knock on April and Andy's house. There's a bunch of kids in costumes as you'd expect, but in the corner you can see one draped in a Star Lord outfit.

It's a relatively quick scene and the kid in question is kinda in the shadows, but it's still a cool homage to Pratt's breakout role.
