12 Things Doctor Who Has Taught You Better Than Your Parents
3. Don't Wander Off
At least in one sense, we can sympathise with the Doctor. His rebellious companions never learn to abide by the simplest of instructions, namely "Don't wander off!". Anyone with a shred of sense will know not to saunter past the occupants of a Dalek asylum or aimlessly explore the cavernous decks of clockwork men's spaceship, unveiling windows to a French aristocrat's past. Or venture into any perfidious landscape the Doctor materialises within. A distinctive line separates bravery from stupidity, and the Doctor would know this from personal experience. Having to rescue damsels in distress (not excluding Rory) can prove a rigorous task for the ancient Time Lord. Give the (very, very, very, very) old man a break, for once.
Anna is an aspiring writer who has an incurable obsession with Doctor Who. When she is not writing about Doctor Who, she's watching favorite episodes and contemplating what to write next. When she's writing about Doctor Who, she anticipates her reward: watching yet another Doctor Who episode. She also manages to read science fiction (especially Ray Bradbury), recite lines from Shakespeare's Macbeth, and make terrible puns in her free time (she likes to imagine she has great puntential, though)
