12 Things That Make No Sense In BoJack Horseman
8. Sarah Lynn's Injuries
When Bojack meets Sarah Lynn after not talking to her for eight years, he's totally ecstatic, and she's psychotic. After being broken up with by superstar Andrew Garfield, she decides to commit random violence and stabs herself with a rusty civil war bayonet.
Sarah Lynn recovers from her stab wound, comedically playing off the wound as something that just needed duct tape to fix. But her wounds looked like something much more fatal than what they ended up being, especially for an animated show that tries to stick in a world of realism. Later Todd even states explicitly that their world is not a cartoon, but real life. And yet she remained fine after stabbing her organs with a rusted bayonet that would at least cause some sort of infection.
Later in season three, Sarah Lynn survives a car crash she gets into while painting her toenails and talking to Bojack over the phone. And because she was stone sober by that point, her survival can't be explained away by drugs. Her body seemed to be nearly indestructible, at least externally, until she died from a drug overdose at the end of season three.
