12 TV Shows Perfect To Binge On During The Autumn Season

Autumn is fast approaching and that means it’s time to ditch the sun-wear and fruity cocktails for oversized jumpers and spiced lattes instead.
Perpetual fall is, for most people, the best time of year. It’s a nice change in scenery as trees start to turn into that beautiful orange shade and the air becomes cold and crisp. Every day activities are less outdoorsy and more about being creative within your own home. Furthermore, it’s a season which has many beloved occasions to look forward to – Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas etc.
And best of all, Autumn is the perfect time to unwind with family, cosy up with personal comforts and binge on all your favourite television shows (although 2020 has been a bit of an exception for obvious reasons).
The following television series’ are the ones which are absolutely ideal to watch this time of year as they bring a great deal of comfort and escapism, many of which feature hobbies and imagery that we associate with Autumn. Granted, not all of them are set anywhere near the fall season but nevertheless just feel fit for viewing amongst the end of year period.

There’s nothing better to kick off your autumnal television binging than with a thrilling fantasy drama, adapted from an engaging novel series. His Dark Materials was an immediate hit in its 2019 debut and is thankfully set to return this coming November.
Based in a detailed multi-world reality where the adventure moves from one world to another, the series follows the young orphaned girl named Lyra. She discovers a dangerous secret that involves Lord Asriel and Marisa Coulter, as well as uncovering a string of mysterious kidnappings.
It’s a richly themed series, covering the issues of ethics, authority, parenthood, love, death and responsibility.
Furthermore, it’s just a well thought out, complex story with a plethora of rich characters and exquisite detail in the backgrounds and setting. It has everything you could possibly want from an exhilarating fantasy series.
