12 TV Shows Perfect To Binge On During The Autumn Season
2. Stranger Things
Stranger Things feels like all the best 1980s movies meshed together as one and then stretched out into an awesome television series.
In particular, many aspects of the fantasy series feel reminiscent of the typically autumnal flick “E.T. the Extra Terrestrial”, with kids using bikes as their main mode of transport, alien science fiction and Eleven’s love of Eggos (much like E.T’s love of Reese’s Pieces).
Admittedly, season three was pure summertime. But generally, Hawkins always felt like an autumnal town, whether it was Joyce’s obsession with her Christmas lights or the kids dressing up the Ghostbusters for Halloween. Moreover, the backgrounds of bare trees and leafy grounds are proof enough it’s a fall show.
And seasonal imagery aside, Stranger Things is simply a binge-worthy show. A little bit of horror, a little bit of comedy, a little bit of nostalgia and one hundred percent fantasy, it is difficult not to become invested in the storyline.
