7. The Secret Circle
The Secret Circle was a short-lived series, which was wrongfully cancelled. Set in the sweet little town of Chance Harbour, Washington, it follows Cassie Blake and her discovery that she originally comes from a family of witches, after becomes tragically orphaned.
The entire series is set against the natural beauty of Vancouver. With the combination of Cassie’s struggles of returning to school, the air of romance, the gorgeous forests and of course the frequent subject of spells and witchcraft, there’s no doubt that The Secret Circle is fully immersed in the Autumnal setting.
The Secret Circle can get a little bit frightening at times, but it’s overall a charming teenage drama series which is essential to watch around the Halloween/Bonfire Night period. The only downfall is that it ends on a massive cliff-hanger, which is never resolved due to the show’s cancellation. Once you’ve finished all twenty-two episodes, you’ll be left craving more.
