12 TV Shows That Just Got Cancelled

1. Agent Carter

The Muppets Agent Carter Grinder Cancelled
ABC

Perhaps the most high-profile casualty of Thursday's cull, albeit one that had been rumoured for a little while now, Marvel's Agent Carter is no more at ABC.

Brought in to fill the mid-season gap left by Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., the series bettered its parent show in many ways, with a compelling spy narrative, a great period setting, and of course a fantastic performance from Hayley Atwell in the role she's played since 2011's Captain America: The First Avenger.

Despite critical acclaim, and Peggy Carter's popularity among fans of the MCU, the ratings weren't great, leaving S.H.I.E.L.D. as ABC's lone Marvel show going forward, and a lack of resolution for Peggy, unless the show gets picked up somewhere else (that Atwell has committed to another series makes this less likely).
