11. Alex, Inc.

Though there's obvious appeal in seeing Zack Braff returning to the sitcom world for the first time since Scrubs ended, this charmless "comedy" series about a husband and father (Braff) who quits his job in order to start a podcast company is...exactly as forgettable as that set-up sounds.

Alex, Inc. desperately wants to be a fresh, current spin on the typical sitcom formula, but it's a fundamentally unrelatable show to most viewers simply because the behaviour of Braff's protagonist seems so flagrantly iressponsible.

The supporting cast dispassionately rips through contrived, punny dialogue, while even Braff's easy likeability is curtailed by him basically just dining out on his much-loved J.D. persona.

It's such a benign non-entity of a TV show, which is exactly why it doesn't rank any lower on this list.

To the surprise of nobody, ABC cancelled it a week before the season finale aired, adding it to the pile of mid-season replacements that didn't even touch the sides in 2018.
