13 Actors Who Almost Died Filming Major TV Shows

9. The Brady Bunch - Everyone

In what sounds suspiciously like an urban legend of the sort that always seems to be attached to rollercoasters and fairgrounds, Robert Reed pulled a Final Destination and saved the lives of his co-stars (or at least saved them from horrific injury).

In the episode "The Cincinnati Kids" the Brady Bunch visit Kings Island Amusement Park, and ride The Racer rollercoaster, because that's what was classed as dramatic intrigue in the 1970s. The scene was designed to be captured by a camera mounted on the front of the rollercoaster, but it apparently didn't pass the scrupulous health and safety test of Reed, who of course played Mike Brady.

He thought the rig didn't look safe, and insisted on a test run first, during which the camera flew off and would have killed the actors if they were on the coaster. Clearly it pays to be cautious.
