Key Appearances: Star Trek: First Contact, Star Trek: Insurrection, Star Trek Nemesis The most class of starship to bear the name of the U.S.S Enterprise, the Sovereign-class became the Federation's newest flagship after its commissioning and participated in the defense against the Borg in the Battle of Sector 001. While the type did not arrive in sufficient numbers to alter the Dominion War, the Enterprise-E soon showcased the ships impressive capabilities in several important engagements. Owner of the most advanced weapons, navigation, and technical systems in Starfleet, the Sovereign-class quickly became one of the most imposing designs in the quadrant. The Sovereign did not appear in any of the TV series and has only been featured in three Star Trek films. It's sleek design and impressive abilities combine to make it the highest ranking version of the Enterprise on this list.
