13 Awful TV Shows Star Trek Actors Want Us To Forget

12. Whoopi Goldberg – Glee

Shatner Shit My Dad Says
Fox

A long-time fan of the franchise herself, Sister Act star Whoopi Goldberg was reportedly delighted when an opening appeared in the cast of The Next Generation and she in turn delighted fans of the show with her superb work as level-headed barman/ unofficial cast therapist Guinan (seriously, the woman listened to more complaining than Troi).

Less impressive and beloved by audiences, however, was the actor’s brief tenure on Fox’s megahit/ eventual trainwreck Glee. Long after the show’s initial popularity waned, Goldberg appeared in its much-maligned “new cast, same premise” soft rebooted fourth and fifth season, her underwritten character another cog in a show which by this stage was roundly reviled by both critics and former fans alike.
