Not only was comic relief Quark one of our favourite less-than-central figures in both Deep Space Nine and Voyager alike, but actor Armin Shimerman continues to deliver the comedy gold with a glance at his pre-Star Trek career.
He was only in Cop Rock, wasn’t he?!
For anyone staring in confusion, 1990’s Cop Rock was a short-lived (eleven surreal episodes) crime drama musical which essentially combined Glee and Hill Street Blues for a singularly strange, almost impossible to watch, and best of all, entirely self-serious series.
It’s commonly cited as one of the worst TV series ever made, and one we’re delighted to be offered an opportunity to spotlight the surreal absurdity. Nice one, Quark.
