13 Most Shocking Breaking Bad Moments

This is the moment in the show where we get to see some real growth from Hank. Pushed to the limit and hunted by evil brothers Marco and Leonel Salamanca for killing their cousin, Tuco, Hank finds himself the victim of a daring and brutally intense assassination attempt.

After being suspended for assaulting Jesse, Hank gets in his car and gets a phone call from an unknown number and voice which says: "One minute." He thinks it's a prank call of some kind until the Salamanca Brothers turn up, armed and ready to take him down. Hank manages to wound Leonel's legs, but is badly injured by Marco who goes to kill him before Hank manages to shoot him dead.

The whole scene is very intense, the choreography well-crafted and the acting brilliant. For a moment, it really looks as though Hank isn't going to make it. With everything going wrong in his life, it wouldn't have been surprising if he was killed.

Luckily, though, he survives, and afterwards he comes back stronger than ever and determined to take Heisenberg down and finish the job he started. You'll still hold your breath when re-watching it, mind.
