8. The Great Soundtrack
A really great touch in Thirteen Reasons Why is the soundtrack, which is full of bittersweet and touching indie music that feels very well-suited to the program.
This was present from the very first episode, in which the Joy Division's stone-cold banger 'Love Will Tear Us Apart' made an appearance, and this has continued throughout the three seasons. The show also gave us 'Back to You', a strong pop single from executive producer Selena Gomez.
Throughout the three seasons, plenty of good tracks have appeared and the show's music has helped it carve its own distinctive artistic identity very well.
