13 Reasons Why: 10 Overlooked Positives To The Show

7. The Stylish Visuals

13 Reasons Why, while hardly a standout-show for directing, has still proved a well-directed show from the start.

Since this is a show defined by its writing and characters, appropriately the directing has generally been fairly low-key, but there's still always been a visually appealing, subtly atmospheric visual sensibility to it.

A particular standout is a certain long-take tracking shot from season two, episode eight, which takes place in the school corridor and features nearly every main character. As well as this, the blending of different time-lines and the transitions between the past and present has always has been pretty strong, especially in season three.
