13 Reasons Why Season 3 Review: 7 Ups & 5 Downs
1. The Performances
It's been said before that the cast of 13 Reasons Why is capable of elevating even the most questionable of material, but when that material is actually worthy of them - they shine. And much like in the previous seasons, they once again proved to be its greatest strength.
This outing's ensemble-centric nature provided the vast majority of them with a great opportunity to stand out - and that's exactly what they did. Though some shone brighter than others (even those that didn't appear enough), with Dylan Minnette, Miles Heizer, Alisha Boe and Brandon Flynn turning in some of their finest work to date as Clay, Alex, Jessica and Justin, all of them proved that the show still boasts one of the most talented casts on television.
But it was Devin Druid who stole the show with his outstanding performance as Tyler Down, and managed to make us feel everything that the troubled character was going through.
That said, every single one of them upped the ante this year, and while the idea of a fourth season sounds utterly exhausting right now, at least we can count on them all to do what they do best one more time.
