7. It's Much Better Than Season 2

Let's get this one out of the way early, shall we?

Season 2 of 13 Reasons Why wasn't all that good. Parts of it were great, but overall, the season felt directionless, bloated and just like a cheap attempt to alter the original story of Hannah Baker's life. Thankfully, Season 3 changed that.

With a compelling mystery at its heart, and some of that surprisingly strong character development sprinkled throughout, the show left its problematic second season in the rear-view mirror and managed to reinvigorate itself in the process.

At the very least, Season 3 proved that there is more story for these characters to tell - even if that story is a different one from what the original show was. And here's how it managed to do that...
