There was one a time when the notion of 13 Reasons Why continuing beyond its first season was preposterous. In fact, that notion is still pretty ridiculous to many, especially considering that Hannah Baker's story was told. But alas, the show did continue and, in doing so, it evolved into something else - as the other kids attempted to get justice for Hannah and Jessica.

Thus, whether you were a fan of Season 2 or not, the fact of the matter is that it was still primarily based on Bryce's crimes. While Season 3 allowed the show to reinvent itself by killing Bryce off in a gripping whodunit storyline, it too centred on the character's presence.

However, now that his murder has been 'solved', that puts the exclamation point on the season's storyline and, in a way, ties up one of the only remaining loose ends of the original story.

Hannah is gone. Bryce is gone. That story is officially over. And yet, we still have one more season left.

One thing is for sure: Whatever route Season 4 of 13 Reasons Why ends up taking, it's going to be a very different show.
