13 Reasons Why Season 4: Ranking Every Character From Worst To Best
3. Justin Foley
Justin is a character who usually finds himself at the heart of the emotional drama of the show, but this season he really tried his best to stay out of it. While he did suffer from a number of setbacks along the way, his convictions were strong throughout the season as he tried to be there for the people who were usually there for him.
Out of rehab with a new lease on life and ready to start afresh, Justin tried to remain strong as the walls that were the Bryce Walker cover-up began to close in around all of them, but his regret over pushing Jessica away and the stress of losing his mother eventually made him relapse. And just as he started to overcome it again, he was diagnosed with AIDS - which led to a terminal case of pneumonia and meningitis.
Justin really tried to overcome his addiction and he came so close, and that made us champion him even more. Undoubtedly one of the show's greatest characters, it was absolutely heartbreaking to lose him so close to the finish line. And, in all honesty, he deserved so much better.
