3. Less Focus On Ani

Even before Season 3 was released to the streaming service, fans started showing concern that the show was about to place too much focus on newcomer Ani - due to her prominence in the trailer. Those concerns were realised when the show began to present Ani as a protagonist without doing any of the work to make viewers invested in her. And as a result, fans didn't take all that well to the character.

In all honesty, the problem wasn't with Ani herself - just the focus that was being placed on her when fans would have much rather watched their favourite long-standing characters solve the mysteries instead. And thankfully, it seems like the writers learned their lesson here because, while the character does make a couple of appearances, her role in Season 4 appears to be much less significant than it was in its predecessor.

Less is more and this could ultimately prove beneficial for Ani.
