2. Tying Up Loose Ends

After Season 3 had something of a series finale-like conclusion, we had allowed ourselves to believe that 13 Reasons Why may have actually come to an end... in spite of the fact that there were some remaining loose ends involving Winston and the discovery of the guns. However, when Netflix confirmed that a fourth season was on the way (and that it would be the final one), our minds wandered as to what that season would be about.

The loose ends were the obvious answer but, given the show's post-Season 1 penchant for overwritten and convoluted mysteries, some were concerned that a completely different arc would find its way to the surface... especially when they factored in how little of the show's original identity remained.

Judging by the trailer, however, it's clear that they are remaining on-course, wrapping up the season by tying up the remaining loose ends... but not before unravelling them a little first in typical 13 Reasons Why fashion.

With Winston's arrival in Liberty High, things will undoubtedly get worse for the gang before they get better...
