2. Imaginary Mary
What would you get if you took Drop Dead Fred, stripped away any demented sense of fun and wrapped it around a dull dramedy sitcom premise? Imaginary Mary, of course.
Though Jenna Elfman is an appealing lead, she has to suffer through the indignity of acting opposite an irritating CGI creature, a figment of her character's imagination, alongside a glut of frothy, badly-written melodrama.
Things weren't looking good from the outset when ABC shortened the series' episode order by almost one-third after they expressed disappointment with Mary's visual effects and demanded significant alterations.
More cringe-worthy than cute and fun, Imaginary Mary was cancelled after seven of its nine episodes had aired, so now everyone can just pretend it was a bad dream after eating some late-night cottage cheese or something.
