15 Amazing Guest Appearances On Bojack Horseman

4. Weird Al Yankovic - Capt. Peanut Butter

For what it’s worth, had Weird Al Yankovic appeared as an exaggerated version of himself in the series it would not have been a surprise.

But for Weird Al to appear as Mr. Peanutbutter’s older brother was a nice get for the show's developers, and not to mention Captain Peanutbutter’s part in one of the more profound moments in the series.

Maybe it’s because his appearance takes part in Mr. Peanutbutter’s storyline, and in comparison to Bojack or Diane's, it’s much tamer and on the light side. But Captain Peanutbutter’s twisted spleen opens opportunity for us to finally see some real vulnerabilities in Mr. Peanutbutter, and after the Captain makes his naïve brother promise to step up should his operation go badly, the two cry and then howl at the moon together.

Thankfully the Captain survives and is just as jolly as his little brother. He also makes a brief appearance in the latest season in one of the best sight-gags the show has ever produced. Let’s be honest, this is Weird Al Yankovic. He was always going to be high up on the list.

I overthink a lot of things. Will talk about pretty much anything for a great length of time. I'm obsessed with General Slocum from the 2002 Spider-Man film. I have questions that were never answered in that entire trilogy!
