Robert, who tried his luck during the very first series of the show, was one of The X Factor's first disasters- and certainly one of the most comical. Despite the fact that he sounded more like Elmo than an actual human when he sang, he captured Simon's heart and was invited back for another audition. The second time around, he sang Aqua's "Barbie Girl," complete with near-perfect impressions of the original singers' voices, both Barbie and Ken. The judges surprisingly- and a bit mean-spiritedly- let him through to boot-camp, but Robert progressed no further. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQILQ0sSeQk
9. Chloe Victoria
Chloe Victoria might have made it into the next round of the competition, but that doesn't make her audition any less of a catastrophe. After admitting that her hobby was "too much partying" and that she was more or less completely unprepared for the audition, she failed to impress the judges after singing not one, not two, but three separate songs, and basically ended up begging for a place in the competition. Despite Chloe's frankly dreadful audition, Nicole and, surprisingly, Simon gave Chloe the yeses she needed to progress. However, she was eliminated at boot- camp. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FqxHNulykc0
