While the aforementioned Bob’s Burgers entry noted that Season 9 has focussed more on the Belcher kids, Season 8 (which aired in early 2018) had a lot of A-Plots with Bob and Linda. The best of these was easily when the pair of them got trapped in an escape room with an extremely annoying couple.

Unlike a lot of other popular animated shows, the Belchers are never at each other’s throats the way the Griffins, the Smiths or even the Simpsons are. Because of that, it’s the way they stick together while getting increasingly irritated by their escape room partners that makes this moment so great.

While they’re much nicer to each other than other shows in their genre, Bob still has an incredibly short temper for the inane challenges the room provides and Linda’s typical overexcitement and failure to think anything through provide perfect comedy moments in the mix. Toss in two of the show’s best side characters (and they’ve had a lot) and this is one of Bob’s Burgers’ best moments.

By putting the characters in awkward situations but letting them keep their good natured personas, the show strikes gold once again.
