1. The Einstein Approximation
Season 3, Episode 14
Title Reference: Sheldon struggles to solve an equation so gets a menial job, similar to Albert Einstein. When Sheldon becomes stuck on a particularly trick problem from work, he starts detaching himself from normal life in order to solve it. He stops sleeping and using odd things as atomic particles, such as: peas, lima beans, ball pit balls and marbles. While using the marbles he covers the apartment floor with them which causes Leonard and Penny to slip on them. He then breaks into a child's play area to use ball pit balls and Leonard is called to remove him. Sheldon's refusal to leave results in Leonard chasing him around a ball pit while he shouts "bazinga!". He finally decides to get a menial job, just like Einstein did at the patent office, in the form of a waiter at the Cheesecake Factory and ends up doing a better job than Penny. When he accidentally drops some plates he has the breakthrough he was searching for, solves the problem and promptly leaves the job.
Best Moment: Leonard chasing Sheldon inside the ball pit while Sheldon shouts bazinga. Do you agree? What is your favourite? Let us know in the comments below.
