1. Meanwhile (Season 7, Episode 26)
The Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings was a great finale, but season seven's Meanwhile easily leaves it in the dust.
The story is simple: Fry proposes to Leela, and after a series of increasingly ill-timed mishaps involving The Professor's latest invention, the pair of them get a chance to live happily ever after in a universe which has been eternally paused.
Though not without its quirks, Meanwhile is as close to pure drama as Futurama has ever strayed, holding off on overloading audiences with madcap misadventures and instead focussing on the emotion and relationships at the series' core.
Every character gets a time to shine one last time, but Fry and Leela dominate, and their final words to each other, in which they decide to go back in time and live their lives over again, is about as perfect an ending as anyone could have possibly hoped for.
