15 Best Teen Wolf Episodes
12. Galvanize (Season 3, Episode 15)
Teen Wolf always made a concerted effort to balance the horror with the everyday, but in this season three gem, everything is almost pure horror. Galvanize brings in the brilliant Doug Jones (Pan's Labyrinth, The Shape of Water) to play William Barrow, an insane murderer who escapes the police and kidnaps newcomer Kira in hopes of killing her.
Barrow stands as the show's best one-off character, an unhinged killer who claims to see teenagers with "glowing eyes." But he's not the only great thing to come from the episode, as Galvanize also gives fans the first glimpse of Kira's seriously cool powers, and takes a big step in her and Scott's budding relationship.
Few episodes have been as genuinely unsettling as this one, and it's a testament to the talent of the writers that not one aspect of the story - from the unhinged fugitive to the awkward teenage dating rituals - never come across forced or cringeworthy.
