3. Bronn Vs Drogon - Game Of Thrones

As with the quieter moments, there were a number of bombastic scenes in Thrones' seventh season that could've made the list: Viserion's reawakening, the Wall coming down, and pretty much everything that happens in the so-called Loot Train Attack.

That's the best part of the season's best episode, and the whole thing is so epic that narrowing it down to just one moment is tough. But there's one that does just about rise above the rest, and that's Bronn taking on a dragon, complete with a Battle of the Bastards-esque oner following him through the chaos of the battlefield, right up to desperately firing off the Scorpion.

It's a dizzying, breathless affair, and one that gives Bronn an occasion worthy of his brilliant character and fan-favourite status. The cinematography is gorgeous, and even better is the way it harkens to the grey morality that helps make Thrones so enticing: it's almost impossible to choose who to root for between Bronn and Drogon, and that just adds to the heart-racing rush in the very literal heat of this moment.
