15 Best TV Shows Of The Last 25 Years

12. Friends (1994€“2004)

Rsz 1rsz Friends 1 Six young people, on their own and struggling to survive in the real world, find the companionship, comfort and support they get from each other to be the perfect antidote to the pressures of life. Well, what can you say about this behemoth of a show/machine? Of course it's laugh out loud funny, with talented comedians. It was so well-oiled they probably created these episodes in their sleep. Or maybe that's why it's so good, because it only seemed easy? How could it have been with each actor getting a billion dollars a season? Or someone like Jennifer Aniston (I hate her movies but damn is she a great comedic actress) in the cast. It was about friendship, which is why it did and still does suck us in. We all want to have that kind of family in our lives, and friends are better than family, because you get to choose them and you have to fight and make an effort to keep them in your life. I have to admit that it's great to them all doing so well now, years later. They worked hard and deserve it. If you have yet to see "Episodes", you should, it's awesome. Who knew Matt Lablanc could act? And even better €“ if you haven't seen "Web Therapy" online, with the best of them, Lisa Kudrow, it's a must watch, it's brilliantly funny. In any case, this was a one of a kind show with a one of a kind cast and chemistry. Like others above, I still watch it today. Yes, repeatedly.

Born in Israel, but raised partly in the UK, Shira is rather an odd duck. She will get in your face with her opinion, but will then be super polite to the waitress serving her a cocktail, no matter how bad the service is. Movies are her passion, along with good TV, music, and Shakespeare. She loves to sing and goes to karaoke a lot, too. She will do anything creative, and will resort to finger painting if necessary. Shira also, apparently, enjoys writing about herself in third person, which is weird. But she just finished her first Fantasy novel, and it's not about her, so that's ok. Shira is very glad to be a part of WhatCulture!
