Appeared in: Faith, Hope & Trick (Season 3, Episode 3) One of the oldest vampires on Buffy, Kakistos (Greek for 'the worst of the worst') is so ancient his hands and feet are cloven hooves, he has permanently demonic features and he is impervious to regular wooden stakes. Not your average graveyard-dweller then. Unusually for Buffy, Kakistos is not the nemesis of the show's titular Slayer but of Faith, the second Slayer. Kissing Toast (as Buffy mistakenly calls him at one point) is so fierce and powerful that Faith, the tough super-strong young woman who will eventually go on to be a psychotic assassin, is scared of him. It takes a lot to scare that girl so we really must give Taquitos (another of Buffy's fumbles) credit where credit is due. Even if he does eventually end up the way of all vamps when Faith overcomes her fear and dusts him with a thick wooden post. You've got to wonder why vampires never wear bullet-proof (or stake-proof) vests.
