He went so far as to cause a man to beat his wife together, turn lovers against one another, friends, family, etc. He also belonged to a prominent, wealthy family, so he had that air of self-importance going for him too. The real creep factor, however, is that he was freed from a hell dimension by Angel himself in order to save Cordellia. Making it Angel who set him free to wreak further havoc on the female population of L.A.
