15 Hottest Upcoming Comic Book TV Shows

15. Global Frequency

Airing: Pilot Ordered Warner Bros TV are clearly working hard to get as many comic book properties out in the next couple of years as possible, and their attention has turned back to Warren Ellis' crime graphic novel focused on a privately funded crime-fighting unit that uses crowd-sourcing to solve crimes the police can't. Basically global-scale professional fire-fighting to deal with the consequences of clandestine government activities. Jerry Bruckheimer is in charge and Ellis is a producer too, and there's more than enough in the source to warrant an adaptation, especially since it was specifically designed in an episodic manner to mimic TV production. The Selling Point: The lack of main characters in the comics makes for a Walking Dead style environment of threat; everyone can and probably will die at any time, which always makes for good TV. Concerns: This isn't the first time the show has been attempted: a pilot was made in 2005 but wasn't successful and then another script was developed in 2009, which didn't go to pilot. That spells something tricky.
