15 Hottest Upcoming Comic Book TV Shows

11. Krypton

Airing: TBA Following hottish on the trail of Gotham's mixed successes, SyFy were announced to be developing a similarly spirited Superman prequel, focusing on the character's home-world before everything went to hell and pretty much the entire species was wiped out. David S Goyer will write and produce, which is something of a mixed blessing depending on what sort of mood he is in (yes he can write well, but he's also capable of stunning feats of script stupidity). Obviously, this won't actually be a superhero show, and hopefully it will be more like a pure sci-fi: clearly it's in the right place. The Selling Point: Goyer's origin work on Batman Begins was a career high-point, and seeing more of Superman's world will appease the fanboys while giving them an anchor in Goyer's presence. Concerns: Is Krypton without Superman really all that compelling? If it all ended up being an over-inflated portrait of sombre space politics it would be an unquantifiable disaster.
