3. Father Gabriel’s Reappearing Fireproof Dog Collar

Father Gabriel’s just starting to come good, but thinking back to his first appearance and behaviour in Season 5 it’s no wonder the group took so long to trust the shady priest.
In Them, after the desperate and starving group have just chowed down on a meal of puppy kebabs (RIP pack of feral doggos), Father Gabriel seemingly renounces his faith by symbolically chucking his dog collar in a fire.
But by the time Spend rolls around – the episode in which he sneakily informs Deanna that he doesn’t trust Rick and the group – he’s seen wearing his collar once again.
Did he have a job lot of clerical collars stuffed in his pocket the whole time on the road to Alexandria? Or did Alexandria happen to have a stockpile of dog collars stashed away just in case a man of God happened to rock up? We’ll never know.
