On the back of a couple of excellent years for horror, 2025 is shaping up to be another big one for horror hounds, with the likes of Wolf Man, 28 Years Later, M3GAN 2.0, and The Conjuring: Last Rites standing as some of the most hotly anticipated movies on the way. But away from the big screen, the world of horror TV has likewise got an absolutely stacked year ahead.

From returning horror favourites getting a welcome new season, to swanky, shiny new shows and fresh ideas, small-screen horror has a mammoth 12 months lying ahead. Now, not all of the TV series featured here have confirmed premiere dates as of this writing, but they are all set to arrive on our screens before the year is out. Of course, plans can always change and delays may occasionally set in - such is the nature of the TV business - but as of now, the following TV shows are all booked in for 2025.

So, with all of that in mind, here are 15 of the most hotly anticipated horror TV shows that lie ahead across the rest of 2025.

15. Stranger Things Season 5

2025 is a huge year for fans of Stranger Things, for this year brings the show's fifth and final season. Yes, as it stands, this latest return to Hawkins will be our last, with Season 5 long since confirmed to be the show's endpoint. Of course, things can always change, but for now, we're on the cusp of saying goodbye to a true modern-day pop culture behemoth.

No notable plot details have been made public as of yet, though the Duffer Brothers have made it known that they changed their original ending for the series based on the fan response to Stranger Things' brilliant fourth season. We also know that Terminator favourite Linda Hamilton will be a part of this final season, which in itself brings plenty of further intrigue.

As of this writing, Stranger Things Season 5 has yet to have a premiere date announced, though it might be sensible to expect this final season to arrive in June or July, which has been the case with three of the past four seasons.
