Cause Of Death: Bitten by zombies, and then 'put down' by Michonne before reanimation. Why It's Important: For a show known for killing off its characters, this was the biggest death of the year on The Walking Dead, and the most emotional. Tyreese had come along as a character (about as well developed as you can get on The Walking Dead...), and the way his death played out was very poignant. Like Tyreese, it had a lot of heart, and was very well acted by The Wire alum Chad Coleman. Those final moments, where he's slowly dying in the car, were enough to make the most hardened and desensitised viewer feel at least a stir of emotion. It had a big impact on Sasha, who has suffered some great losses now and looks set in the second half of Season 6 to become a stronger character because of it, and meant the show lost one of its biggest characters.
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
