Cause Of Death: Neck snapped by Jessica. Why It's Important: Kilgrave was the central villain of Jessica Jones' first season, key to the entire plot, and while he may no longer have had any true power over her, there was only one way she could be totally free, and that was by killing him. He had tortured a lot of people through his mind control, resulting in a lot of death and brutality, and his death put an end to that, and allowed Jessica to rescue Patsy, all the other people who had mentally imprisoned, and herself. Killing off the main villain is always going to be an important moment, but when the hero and villain are this good, and the story is so personal, it felt even more so here.
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
