The Show: A dark, offbeat comedy revolving around "The Gang", a group of five self-absorbed a**hats who run a Philadelphia bar and are constantly hatching schemes to better themselves, usually while screwing others over. Why It's Overrated: It's Always Sunny flew under the radar for so long that it's pretty surprising to see it recently finish up its tenth season on the air. The show's first season opened to largely mixed-to-negative reviews from fans and critics before the show picked up in its second season and has been pretty consistently praised ever since. Even so, if you're a Seinfeld fan, it's pretty hard to shake that feeling that this is basically just a conceptual riff on the very same idea. Sure, it gets much darker than that show ever did, but it's hard to think of this series as comedy genius when it's such a blatant re-appropriation of another show. Yes, it's frequently funny and the actors breathe plenty of life into their characters, but is it really one of the best comedies on TV as its most rapturous fans will claim? Not quite.
