15 Most Underrated Sci-Fi TV Shows Of All Time

8. Perversions Of Science

The brainchild of Lethal Weapon/ Superman director Richard Donner, Perversions of Science was a dark nineties anthology series which asked the question everyone occasionally ponders, "What would happen if you mashed up The Twilight Zone and HBO's envelope-pushing Tales from the Crypt horror series, but with a sexy robot host?"

The answer was this short-lived series, which saw guest stars ranging from Jamie Kennedy, Jason Lee, and Wil Wheaton to Re-animator's Jeffrey Combs and Captain Kirk himself William Shatner in standalone stories which fused horror and sci-fi to dark and darkly funny effect.

Unbelievably, this campy series was cancelled after only a few episodes, and remains bizarrely underrated even amongst cheesy sci fi TV aficionados.
