15 Sci-fi TV Shows That Ended Too Soon

13. Journeyman

NBC

The Beginning:

Launched as part of NBC’s fall schedule of 2007, Journeyman was a well-meaning show centred on a chap with a nagging ability to flit back in time and change the destiny of a chosen few.

With Kevin McKidd cast as the lead, supported by the likes of Brian Howe, Moon Bloodgood and a sumptuous San Francisco setting, the show was met with positive reviews, with critics and fans citing the show’s balance of romance and sci-fi smarts as being a high point.

The End:

Journeyman’s first season ended on a suitably intriguing note, with McKidd’s protagonist, Dan Vasser, discovering that he wasn’t the only ‘Frisco dweller that could go all Quantum Leap on us.

But, alas, low viewing figures meant that not even a fan campaign could stop NBC from pulling the plug on this one.
