His Role On Sons Of Anarchy: Welliver's Jimmy O'Phelan showed up in the second season to help smooth out the relationship between the club and the IRA, though by the third season he was on the outs with the IRA. Responsible for Chibs' scars, exile, and separation from his own wife and daughter, Jimmy finally met his end in the third season finale while in Agent Stahl's custody. Falling into a trap set by the club, Stahl was taken out by Opie while Chibs gave Jimmy a Glasgow smile before killing him.
His Role On The X-Files: In the first season episode "Darkness Falls," Mulder and Scully investigated the mysterious disappearance of a camp of loggers. During their investigation, they encountered Welliver's Doug Spinney, an eco-terrorist who informed them that, when night comes, a deadly swarm of insects descends on whoever they're able to find. Though he left with a Jeep the following day to find his own friends, he returned by the end of the episode - sans his dead friends - to rescue them, but inevitably fell victim to the bugs himself.
