12. Lena Headey's Pregnancies
Lena Headey has had two children thus far, and both born during the filming of Thrones. Son Wylie was born in 2010, and daughter Teddy was born in 2015. Naturally, expecting a child causes the body to change quite significantly, so changes were made to hide this from the viewing public.
The first series was when Lena was pregnant with Wylie, and thankfully the first couple of episodes were set in the North where Lena could wear bulky clothes to hide her bump, though it is obvious in certain moments like when she speaks to Catelyn after Bran's fall.
Speaking of which, when Bran finds Jamie and Cersei doing their thing, Jamie's initially behind a body double and Headey only takes over for closeups of her face.
For season 5 and her second pregnancy things became more complicated, as Cersei is meant to be cleaned, shaved and stripped off to take part in her Walk of Atonement. Again, being heavily pregnant at the time, another body double was brought in and Headey's face was superimposed onto her. For closeups, it was the woman herself stripped down to a certain point.
