11. He's Dead, Honestly!
We all knew Jon Snow wasn't dead.
What's interesting is the extent to which the showrunners went through to convince us Kit Harrington wasn't coming back in any living capacity.
Firstly, Harrington sent a message to all of his fans saying goodbye to them. Secondly, when it came to filming season 6, it was announced Harrington would be returning only as a corpse and the rest of his living scenes were filmed in secret, with no cast members allowed to use the name "Jon Snow" on set and memos for/about him with the letters LC.
This didn't help the folks behind the show as photos soon emerged of Jon Snow looking battle-ready on the fields of Belfast. And when he was resurrected, Kit Harrington issued a personal apology to the fans of the show for lying to them.
The worst thing though was lying in person to the President of the United States, Barack Obama, who personally enquired about the fate of Jon Snow. If they can lie to him, then they have no scruples.
