The Doctor has encountered his fair share of renegade Time Lords throughout his universal escapades and if you've never heard of this one, then you'd best take a long, hard look at yourself. The Meddling Monk was introduced during the First Doctor's era as a mischievous Time Lord who meddles with time purely for his own entertainment. He was the first Gallifreyan to be seen on screen, other than the Doctor and Susan, which means that he's a pretty big deal. Bet you feel stupid now, don't you?!
