19 TV Shows (And 1 Film) Set In The Same Universe As Lost
11. Twin Peaks - A Tale Of Two Mad Doctors
Jacob and the man in black aren't the only dangerous forces at play in this universe. There is the terrifying Bob and the Black Lodge too. Agent Olivia Dunham of Fringe hails from a long line of legendary FBI agents, from Dale Cooper to Fox Mulder and Dana Scully (more on that later). Fringe, like Lost, is the central link to two very big shows, expanding this universe in a whole new direction, starting with the murder of Laura Palmer in Twin Peaks. The connection to Fringe - and by extension, Lost - came to light in the fourth season of Fringe with a rather overt reference to a certain Doctor Lawrence Jacoby, Laura Palmer's psychiatrist before her murder in Twin Peaks. A highly eccentric character, Jacoby is just the sort of person you can imagine Walter Bishop hanging out with and the doctor's influence has certainly rubbed off. In the episode The Firefly (no obvious connection to THAT show), Bishop wears a pair of glasses made by his friend Doctor Jacoby that allow him to see people's auras. Possessions by malevolent forces and alternate realities...that sounds like a case for the X Files. Click 'NEXT' to find out why that is very possible.
A writer for Whatculture since May 2013, I also write for TheRichest.com and am the TV editor and writer for Thedigitalfix.com . I wrote two plays for the Greater Manchester Horror Fringe in 2013, the first an adaption of Simon Clark's 'Swallowing A Dirty Seed' and my own original sci-fi horror play 'Centurion', which had an 8/10* review from Starburst magazine! (http://www.starburstmagazine.com/reviews/eventsupcoming-genre-events/6960-event-review-centurion) I also wrote an episode for online comedy series Supermarket Matters in 2012. I aim to achieve my goal for writing for television (and get my novels published) but in the meantime I'll continue to write about those TV shows I love!
