20 Best Batman TV Episodes Ever

6. 'One Bad Day' (Gotham)

Heart of Ice Batman
Fox

The concluding episodes of Gotham's fourth season pulled a major swerve when likely Joker-to-be Jerome Valeska was killed off only to drive his twin brother Jeremiah to become his successor - and, by extension, the Joker. And what better way for him to prove his dominance than to single-handedly recreate the very thing that has become synonymous with the birth of The Joker himself: One Bad Day.

Much like we'd learned through various Batman adaptations, Jeremiah was a firm believer in the philosophy that one bad day could drive a good person mad - and, with an incentive like that, he set out to make his friend Bruce Wayne's life a living hell in order to make him see that and forcibly ensure that he became like him.

Everything about this - the rivalry between Bruce and Jeremiah, the lengths to which the latter was willing to go to prove his point, the Joker outfit he donned and Cameron Monaghan's performance - made this one feel like a comic book had come to life and it stands out with ease as one of Gotham's greatest episodes.
