20 Best Batman TV Episodes Ever

The Batman is often overlooked in conversations about The Dark Knight's greatest adventures just because it wasn't as revolutionary as Batman: The Animated Series, but it often produced some absolutely cracking episodes and this one is unquestionably one of its finest

Set both decades and centuries in the future, 'Artifacts' highlighted how seriously The Batman took his quest to protect Gotham throughout his life (and death), while also giving fans a chance to see some of the later comic book lore come to life, including Robin's transition into Nightwing and Batgirl's to Oracle.

Initially featuring a future battle between Mr. Freeze and the Bat-Family, it jumps forward again to a time when Batman is no longer alive so that the ice villain can continue his decimation and destruction of Gotham. However, thanks to a futuristic discovery, he soon realised that the only thing more ageless than him was The Batman's mission. And even in death, The Dark Knight figured out a way to stop him.

With one of the show's best scripts and character designs that took their cues from Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns, this was a serious high point for the incredibly underrated show.
