Despite its critical success, Arrested Development was never a huge ratings hit. The show only lasted for three seasons before Fox cancelled it. Even with its short time on the air, the show gave way to some incredible careers from the actors involved. While Arrested Development may not have had the comeback fans were hoping for, the show's very late renewal by Netflix was still a blessing.

Brought back seven years after its original cancellation, the show experimented with a different format to its previous seasons. This change didn't pay off, with viewers finding it difficult to follow the storyline from so many different perspectives. This caused producers to go back and "remix" the show's fourth season, reverting to it's usual format.

Arrested Development is littered with incredible actors and characters, but the absolute highlight has to be Jessica Walter as Lucille Bluth. The mother of the highly dysfunctional family is cruel, narcissistic and manipulative, as exemplified by her son Buster. She struggles to adjust to a life without money, after all of her lifestyle was previously funded by misappropriated funds from the family business.

The character is Jessica Walter at her very best, earning her multiple award nominations for her role.
