13. Mother Of All Matches - GLOW

GLOW Season 2 was bigger, bolder, and better than Season 1, successfully balancing more in-ring action with compelling character work and emotional storytelling.

It might not have the attention-grabbing gimmick of Work The Leg or The Good Twin, but Season 2's fourth episode, Mother of All Matches, is a brilliant encapsulation of everything GLOW does so well. The parallel storylines follow Welfare Queen and Liberty Belle in the build-up to their huge showdown, contrasting their differing experiences of being parents: Tammé couldn't be prouder of her son, who is off to college, while Debbie struggles with juggling work and being a single parent.

It all comes together in the ring, which not only features some quality action but takes a really poignant turn by the end in a riveting piece of character-based drama.
